An outline showen by a laser, shows how Crazy Horse monument be carved out after completion. During the summer months for the tourist a evening multimedia laser show projects a story book history of the plight of the last 50 years of making the monument. Crazy Horse the world's largest sculpture has been in progress since 1947 when sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski (1908-1982) arrived in the Black Hills of South Dakota to accept the Indians invitation to carve a mountain. The Memorial is not a federal or state project.  The project is being continued by Korczak's wife, Ruth, and their large family.  .
